ARTIST Bio

Rick King is a multidisciplinary artist whose career spans over three decades across digital and fine art, graphic design, fabrication, and immersive pop-culture experiences.

Based in Hot Springs, Arkansas and Las Vegas, Nevada, Rick creates fine art for gallery exhibitions, community fundraisers, and private collections, blending traditional craft with modern techniques.

Rick’s artistic journey began in the early 1990s in the screen-printing and apparel industry, where he worked with global brands and entertainment giants such as Disney, Warner Brothers, Sesame Street, and 20th Century Fox.

His background in illustration, design, and large-scale production honed both his creative vision and technical expertise. Over the years, his work has extended into custom prop building, museum exhibitions, themed entertainment, and digital media, where he has designed everything from movie-style costumes to immersive puzzles for escape rooms.

In addition to his studio practice, Rick has played an active role in community art and education. As a technician at National Park College’s Makerspace, he has guided students and community members in woodworking, 3D printing, CNC machining, and laser engraving. He has also contributed to outreach and fundraising efforts through organizations like The Galaxy Connection, where he helped bring the worlds of Star Wars, Superheroes, and Nostalgia into interactive exhibits and charity events.

Through his diverse career, Rick has remained committed to bringing fun, excitement, and imagination into people’s lives. His work reflects a lifelong passion for storytelling, craftsmanship, and pop culture, bridging the worlds of fine art, fandom, and interactive experience.
